The Study of Management Practices

Conducted in China for Chinese High School Graduates

This program offers a Certificate in Management Practice for Chinese students who have finished high school prior to entering university studies or those entering the workforce.  The certificate will incorporate the following courses conducted over a one-year period with face-to-face instruction.

OBJECTIVE

The purpose of this program is to provide humanitarian assistance to the youth in China.  China is in need of educational aid to help in securing meaning employment in the 21st Century.  Because multinational firms are investing in China, there is a talent shortage to fulfill these new business positions.  The Global Institute will assist the Chinese youth in preparation for these exciting employment opportunities.

Professors will be recruited from the United States for each course and will visit China throughout the year to teach a two-week-long intensive course culminating in six (6) specific courses of business for the benefit of the Chinese learner.  The length of the program is one year.

Each scheduled intensive will be conducted Monday through Friday for two weeks culminating in 7.5 hours of instruction per day for a total of 75 total hours of instruction over the two-week period.  Each of the two-week intensives will be valued at 3 credits for a total of 18 credits.

The instruction will be conducted in a formal classroom setting and the delivery method will be conducted face-to-face and in English.  American students are encouraged to attend class in China along with the visiting professor.  American students attending the intensives are encouraged to apply for academic credit to be transferred to an American institution of higher learning.

The scheduled visits to China for the Academic Yearly Program will be conducted in two-week increments during August, October, December, February, April, and June. 

A graduation ceremony will be conducted in June.
